I interviewed my athletic for the women's soccer team here at USF. Her name is Michele Latimere and I feel like the knows everything about the body. Anytime anyone hurts anything she examines them and just autimatically knows what wrong. I find this facinating and want to go into her field of work. I asked her about the pros and cons of the job.
Pros:
1. Get to work with really cool people
2. Get free USF gear
3. Get to go on paid away trips with paid meals.
4. Get free access to medical care.
Cons:
1. Hours 5AM-5PM
2. Weekends
3. Working outside for practices and games.
4. Long and many practcices to attend.
Overall, I think I would like this job, but it takes a lot of schooling to get there.

reducing ecological footprint
In order to reduce my ecological footprint I drove less, ate no meat, and reduced my use of electricity.

Ecological footprint START
I am going to start to try and reduce my ecological footprint and 10:52AM on 11/18/08. After taking the quiz, my ecological footprint told me it would take 3.8 Earth's if everyone in the world lived like me. This is very upsetting because I don't see myself as a very high maitenance person, but I was very wrong. Hopefully when I retake the quiz I will lower my ecological score.
Discrimmination
Discrimmination has been a large issue in society for many centries and is still a problem today. In the future, I believe our generation is going to realize how much discrimmination still exists today and we are going to voice our opinions to end this injustice. An obvious discrimmination was against blacks in the past which has improved tremendously as we continue to treat them as equals. A discrimmination where I feel is consistenly ignored is discrimmination against gays. I feel this issue is ignored because they gay culture itself has never been very large and most gay personalilties aren't about hostility. I feel our generation has a large voice and even those who are not gay support the homosexual culture because there are many friends of gays and they can see how unfairly the gay culture is treated. I feel that in the future we will deal with more rights being granted to the gays because of the protests and voices of those who disagree with this social injustice.

start and end
sorry i didn't see the start and end thing til after i did my post but I started and midnight last night so it was 11/12 at 12:00AM and ended today 11/13 and 12:00AM
No technology
So I didn't think my day would be very different with out technology but boy was I wrong. It first started with walking to class without my ipod. This forced me to look at my surroundings more. I noticed how nice our campus was with the trees and I also read a lot of messages in chalk on the side walk. There was also a performance going on with dancers dressed up in colorful outfits. I would not have even heard the music if I had my ipod in my ears. Also, while in class I was very attentive and I took very detailed notes. This never happens when I use my phone because I am always talking to someone which takes my attention away from the class. With out tv, I did a large amount of homework which never happens. I always spend my time watching movies instead of homework which makes my work rushed and sloppy. Without my computer I was unable to chat with anyone on facebook. I felt cut off from the world. Texting and phone calls set up any social plans with my friends which I didn't really have any in teh 24 hours I was cut off from the world. I plan on cutting down my tv time in order to stay productive with homework, but I still enjoy my ipod because even though I was more aware of my surroundings, I still was bored walking to class.

Articles on online video games
http://www.cyberfest.us/Education/Video_Games_in_Education-MIT_Study.pdf
I found this peer reviewed article through the google scholar search engine. This can be a very effective source for writing paper #2 if you can find an article you don't need a membership for. This article is about how online games can be used for education. It describes how popular viedoe games are becoming and how useful they could be for teachers when education students. I agree with this article because students would learn more enthusiastically which would be more enjoyful.

This is an interesting but not surprising article about comparing adolescents and adults playing online video games. There was a survey taken to show the difference in teens and adults when playing Everquest. Results showed that teens enjoy violence more than adults and they play for longer hours sacrificing work for pleasure. Teens also preferred male characters over female and were more unlikely to swap genders. This is an interesting article with surprising information. It not surprising that teens would replace work with playing video games because of the maturity level differences with adults which includes different priorities. This article just proves this point.

Third Video Game
Catch the sperm was the third video game I picked because I looked like it was educational and those are the games I like. It reminded me of the remission game only with sperm and STD's instead of cancer. I think these are the two video games I am going to pick for my paper.

video game listing
I believe most video games are a poor way to spend your time unless it is an educational game because you are having fun while learning which is a rare activity sometimes. One game that was educational on the list was the Re-mission game because it takes you on a journey through a patients body with different types of cancer and shows you the affects on the body. Another educational game I found was on http://www.adultswim.com/games/. The game was called amateur surgeon act 3 and it just makes learning more fun.
